What inspires you?

Is it possible that that which inspires you also defines you? Is it possible that that which inspires you also mirrors your deepest desires? Is it possible that that which inspires you represents the life you truly seek?

Babies! They inspire me! I am completely immersed in the moment when I have the privilege to get close to a baby. When I look at them, I see growth. When I see their soft skin and innocent eyes, I witness the epitome of vulnerability and gentleness. When I hear them crying, I am reminded of what intensity really means.  When I observe them as they learn to walk, I understand what task-orientedness really means. The vigour with which they chew, reminds me that energy is equal to desire. Even when they play, they do so with a single focus. Yes, babies inspire me. I do not wish to be a baby again but do wish that I can emulate their fire, their gentleness, their determination, their energy, their intensity, their task-orientedness, their vigour, their focus.

For these qualities signify positive growth! Be inspired!

What motivates you?

Approach or Avoid? How do you stay motivated?

Some people are motivated by what is approaching. Others are motivated by what they have to avoid. Where do you rate yourself? Are you approach-motivated? Are you avoid-motivated?

Those who are approach-motivated are more likely to be the positive thinking ones. They are probably those who are prepared to take risks more than others. They see the future as a challenge and the bearer of new opportunities. They say: bring it on! They are the ones that probably live in hope and with optimism. They see the glass as half full and not half empty. They remain confident and positive regardles of the gloom. They are the ones who are prepared to think out of the box...

On the other hand, those who are avoid-motivated are probably your conservative types. They are probably those who fear changes to their comfort zones. They would probably do their utmost to avoid the onset of failure. They are the ones who would probably be less likely to take risks. They are the ones who fear pain and discomfort and would rather stick to what they know than attempt or test new ground. Their entire lives are managed and conducted around what they have to avoid rather than being prepared for the unknown opportunities......

How are you motivated?

Credibility?

Hi Guys
Please help me clarify this question.
Should we and how do we check the credibility of a motivational speaker/writer?
Do we even need to do that exercise?
Does the value of the message depend on the credibility of the messenger?
What do YOU think?
